Born and raised in Michigan, Kevin “Moe” Moening learned early that the things worth building require discipline, consistency and pride in the work. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1998 to 2002, stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, and later continued that commitment to service through 12 years of California state public service.

Over the years, the nickname Moe became part of his identity. Today it sits at the center of a bigger vision: Moe’s Smash — a veteran-owned food brand built around hot, freshly smashed burgers, bold house flavors, fries cooked in beef tallow, thoughtful hospitality and a polished event experience.

Faith is central to the way Moe approaches both life and business. The goal is not simply to complete a transaction. It is to serve people well, create genuine relationships and give every guest an experience that feels intentional from the first interaction to the last bite.
